La Grande Wheel XL NEW**

Debuting at the 2017 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the spectacular one of a Kind, La Grande XL Observation Wheel owned by the midway provider, Ray Cammack Shows. It is quite possibly the largest traveling observation wheel in the Western Hemisphere as the R50XL model. This “Mercedes” of Wheels was manufactured in Europe by Ronald Bussink of Professional Rides AG, and will be transported on 22 semi trailers. Mr. Bussink is the premier builder of Observation wheels around the World. The cabins are climate controlled and can hold 6-8 people. It is erected with an 80-ton crane, and is assembled by a crew of 10. It weighs approximately 616,000 lbs., and has over ½ a million LED lights. There is an impressive 10-foot convex LED screen on the center axle of the Wheel. This screen is one of only four screens that have been manufactured by this screen company in the World.

RCS debuted their first spectacular wheel in 1985 with a 33-meter wheel, christened the Grand Wheel. In 2001, the La Grande wheel R50 was introduced, which until 2017 was the largest traveling wheel in the Western Hemisphere. In 2016, the new 33-meter Big Wheel was purchased by RCS. The new La Grande XL will be joining the Grand Wheel and the Big Wheel at this year’s rodeo. This will be the first time at an American Rodeo or Fair to have 3 wheels of this magnitude operating at one venue. RCS is thrilled to provide these premiere attractions to the great guests of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
